17th  ASIAN GAMES INCHEON 2014

After the fine, calm and focused performance by JITU RAI bring home the First GOLD Medal for the country in 50m Pistol men's at the Asian Games 2014. It is the second medal for India after Shweta chaudhary won the Bronze medal in the 10m air pistol. It was a close win as Jitu Rai who finished with 186.2 points compared to the  vietnam's Nguyen Hoang Phuong 183.6 points to clich the GOLD medal for INDIA.  Consecutive GOLD medal for JITU RAI after a spectacular performance at the Commonwealth Games 2014 in Glasgow.  

JITU started off well to stay in the competition. Jitu rai and Nguyen Hoang Phuong were tied at 160.8 points with two more rounds to go. Rai started off with the low 7.4 but it was the last round when Hoang hit the new low with 5.8 gave advantage to Rai. In the end, Rai held his composure to win the gold medal at Asian Games 2014.
