Young future of sports climbing of India

It is always a great experience  to meet young talent but it was an ample of opportunity to learn so much from these  young kids who are participating " Asian Youth Sport Climbing 2015 " .

The attitude they have towards life and their sports is amazing. One of the participant " Sahil ( 13 years ) " " shared that he love his sport it make him different from other kids .

Where Adarsh Singh ( 17 years ) says Sport climbing is difficult as well as challenging , it makes the every part of body fit.

But ,
there was a disappointing thing which was told by Bharath Perera ( 15 years ) that in a country like India where people only consider cricket as there major sport its very difficult for our sport to grow, and the result there is lack of focus towards our efforts by normal people .

it was amazing to know that even after so much of disappointment  these kids were so much motivated and have a passion towards making there nation proud and wining the gold .

SOURAV GANGULY'S NEW ROLE AS C.A.B PRESIDENT

“The Prince of Calcutta. Two of his special qualities are his intelligence and articulation both of which have helped him immensely in the world of contemporary cricket,” Geoffrey Boycott. Sourav Ganguly a living legend of Indian cricket has formally started his innings as the President of the Cricket Association of Bengal on the 15th of October 2015.

Having displayed his grit and determination on the cricket field both as the captain and player of the Indian cricket team, it is time for the legend to put on the hat as the new Cricket Association of Bengal President.

Due to the sad demise of Mr. Jagmohan Dalmiya, a great cricket administrator because of a massive cardiac arrest on the 20th of September 2015, the C.A.B had to send notifications for a Special General Meeting to all the 121 affiliated units.

The former Indian captain, who is in his second term as the C.A.B joint secretary, had emerged as the consensus candidate to take over the role of President whereas Dalmiya’s son Avishek was designated to take over Ganguly’s position in the announcement made by West Bengal Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee.

A hard task master by nature and one with a winner’s attitude it would be interesting to see how Sourav Ganguly goes on with his work as the President of the Cricket Association of Bengal. The former Indian captain has big shoes to fill in as a cricket administrator, left by Mr. Jagmohan Dalmiya.

With the Twenty20 World Cup, 2016 final scheduled to be played at the iconic Eden Gardens, Kolkata, Sourav Ganguly and his administrative team would be on their toes to put up a spectacular show. Perhaps this would not be difficult for someone who has grown and matured as a cricketer at the Eden Gardens.

“C.A.B is for cricketers and stands for the development of the game,” Sourav Ganguly was quoted as saying.

5 REASONS WHY INDIA CAN BEAT SOUTH AFRICA IN THE 2015 TEST SERIES

“Champions are made from something they have deep down inside them a desire, a dream, a vision." This is something that sums up what is in store for the Gandhi – Mandela series (Freedom Trophy) which would be played between the two giants of world cricket namely India and South Africa. Both the teams are scheduled to play a 4 match test series.

The 5 reasons why India can beat South Africa in the Test Series:

Home Support : Morale Booster

In a country where cricket is a way of life, the support which team India will get would be mind boggling. In the stadium thousands of people would chant ‘India, India, India……….., it will not only give goose bumps but it would also provide morale support to the cricketing superstars. The entire nation would be supporting the Indian team, be it in the stadiums or in the front of their television sets. India is a formidable team when it comes to playing at home.

Spin friendly tracks :

The 22 yard track would be another factor which would favour India. The pitches in India are spin friendly as compared to the pitches in South Africa which are pacy and bouncy. Team India’s experienced spin twins in the form of Ravichandran Ashwin and Amit Mishra can tear apart any team with their bowling and succumb them to defeat. South Africa lack quality spinners and are inexperienced.

Experienced and balanced squad :

Team India boosts of a young team that has experience in playing Test cricket whereas there are only five players out of the 15 member squad of South Africa that has experience in playing Tests in India. The visitors also have an inexperienced batting line and much of the responsibility would fall on the likes of Amla, De Villiers, du Plessis, Duminy to deliver.

Series win against Sri Lanka : Confidence Booster

Having won the Test series against Sri Lanka comprehensively, Team India would go into this series against South Africa high on confidence and determination. The brand of cricket which India played against Sri Lanka would surely help them coming into this series. With some good performances under their belt in the recently concluded series against Sri Lanka team India would be riding high on confidence and success.

Young and aggressive new test captain : Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli who has been handed the responsibility of Team India’s captaincy showed much class and competency in the series against Sri Lanka. Although only one series old as a captain Virat Kohli’s eagerness to win and perform and his aggressive approach will surely act as a catalyst for team India to bring home the coveted Freedom Trophy, Gandhi – Mandela series.

South Africa won a test series in India last in 1999-2000, as India have proven they are tough to beat at home, it would be interesting to see how the two teams play for glory and honour.

“A winner is a dreamer who never gives up,” Nelson Mandela.

"THE GWALIOR PALACE"

11th October,2015
The students of S.G.T.B.Khalsa College accompanied by their teacher Mrs. Smita Mishra went to the beautiful palace of Gwalior, 'Jai Vilas Palace' & were all mesmerized to see the opulent beauty of it. 'Jai Vilas Palace' was constructed by Maharaja Jayaji Scindia (Shinde) in the yr 1874 at a cost of Rs.1 crore. The white facade was originally a palace, but then a part of it was turned into museum, attracting a good bunch of tourists, It is still a residence of the descendants of the former royal Maratha Scindia dynasty.
The palace has a combination of different architectural styles like Tuscan, Italian-Doric & Corinthan. The collection, focusing art & craft, at the museum has been brought from all around the world. Also the very famous Durbar Hall is decorated with gilt & gold furnishing & adorned with huge carpet & gigantic Belgian chandeliers. The carpet is supposed to be one of the largest in Asia. The cavernous dining room with a model of railway with a silver train that carried after dinner brandy & cigars around the table was remarkable indeed. Other attractions of this palace were the stuffed tiger carcass. ladies swimming pool, oil painting by Raja Ravi Verma, Malabar Furniture, Crystal Furniture, Palki(Palanquin), Pooja Ghar, Royal old photographs , Chinese pot, Clothes & footwear of royalty, weapons and many more. Also a part of the palace is now a museum in the memory of Lt. Madhavrao Scindia holding all his achievements throughout his lifetime.
All in all, it was a great experience to know about the history of such a dynamic kingdom. The whole museum was a crackerjack, leaving many of us with a mind full of curiosity to know more about the arcanes of this princely world.

THE MAGNIFICENT GWALIOR FORT

The Gwalior Fort spreads out over an are of 3 square km, surrounded by concrete walls of sandstone. Built in the 8th century the fort encloses three temples, six palaces and numerous water tanks. The fort is a symbol of beauty and magnificence.

The fort has been controlled by different rulers in the past from the Tomars to the Mughals, Marathas and the British. Today this fort is controlled by the government of Madhya Pradesh and is open for public to adore its beautiful structure. The Mann Singh Palace is one of the amazing palaces of the Gwalior fort. This palace was built by Raja Mann Singh Tomar in the 15th century. It was in the same palace where  the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb imprisoned and later murdered his brother Murad.

The view from the fort is spellbound and the entire Gwalior city looks like heaven from above.

In the evening there is a sound and light show inside the fort which is specially arranged by the government of Madhya Pradesh. This has a special resemblance as it depicts the history of the fort and the light show adds to its beauty and charm.

The fort looks like an angel under the moonlit sky.

Morar - fighting for identity

Media chaupal, an event that happens every year to raise the voice of some environmental issues of some areas which people are not aware about .

This year they had lighten the issue of river conservation and started it up with the nearest river called "Morar river " , a river situated in Madhya Pradesh which was giving life to many people from years .

But now this river is fading away its identity . Today's generation do not call it a river, they call it a ,"naala". The reason behind is the human interference in the natural flow of Morar .

Due to throwing of rotten flesh and undisposable  garbage, this river has become a home of diseases for the people who stays at bank .

A real action should be taken to save the river because its already too late.

ROCK CLIMBING NOT EASY AS IT SEEMS

Yup, it is really not easy to do sports climbing .You must be wondering what i am  talking about. Actually i got a chance to visit IMF (Indian mountaineering foundation) yesterday as a part of my course through khalsa college. A big thanks to Dr Smita Mishra mam. What actually happened is, we went to the IMF organization where we got to understand about adventure sports.

For better acknowledgement of these adventure sports event i and my bunch of freinds got the chance for rock climbing . When the instructor did it, it seemed easy and now it  was our chance to follow him. When i started wearing safety gears i was exited as i was to experience that adventure for the first time in my life. As we started climbing we came to know its not an easy task at all. we did it , not convincingly but we did it.
After reaching the peak when i got back on the earth surface, the feeling came in me was exceptional. It was really an amazing adventure.

21st north zone spot climbing championship at Indian mountaineering foundation

Life is like climbing a mountain
The more you go ahead the more tough its get"

These words were said by a young  participant of north zone climbing competition which held at Indian mountaineering foundation New Delhi on 26 September 2015
The participant was young kids who were fulfilled with the motivation of climbing and reaching at the summit of life
Those young kids were filled with a "never give up " attitude that made the atmosphere of IMF more positive & exciting

Those kids were not only trained for climbing but there they got to learn using best of their mental and physical power and making a quick decision which is quite similar to the practical life

IMF not only trains you to be a mountaineer or a climber
Its teaches you a reality of life that
" When going gets tough the tough gets going "
