Report:Public Communication

hello everyone..this the report by Saikat Sir on the topic "Public Communication"

Basically Communication is a process whereby information is enclosed in a package and is channeled and imparted by a sender to a receiver via some medium. the receiver then decodes the message and an intend recipient, however the receiver need not to be present or aware of the sender;s intent to communicate at the time of communication in order for the act of communication to occur. communication requires that all parties have an area of communicative commonality.

Public Communication

Public Communication is something which can be learned but can't be taught.! It is an idea of expressing an idea to many people at the same time. its how the information is communicated to many segments of society, including consumers, government officials, community organizations, employees, investors and media.

What to do before Public Speaking?

• Relax, Take a deep breath for minute.
• try to face the audience instead of microphone, recognize the mood of the audience.
• give a smile and wait for the same response from the audience.

Sir also discussed about this qoute whic is said by Davd Ogilvy:

"Consumer is not a fool, She's your Wife!"

Rhetoric:The Art of Public Communication

Rhetoric is the art of using language to communicate effectively.It is the ability, in each particular case, to see the available means of persuasion.

LOGOS: refers to any attempt to appeal to the intellect, and it is the general meaning of a "logical argument". Its an attempt of sonding the information with a direction and argument.

PATHOS: It is associated with emotion, such as appealing to an audience's sympathies and imagination.Values, beliefs and understandings of the arguer are implied and communicated to tha audience through the story.

ETHOS: it is an ethical appeal of the argument, represents credibility. the person delivering the argument must be trustworthy and respected as an expert who has knowledge about the issue in contention.Ethos is guiding belief.It means convincing by the character of the author.
