Digital Rights Up For Grabs Bcci Aiming To Make Rs 240 Cr Over 30 Months
THE INDIAN CRICKET BOARD (BCCI)HAS TARGATED AT LEAST RS 240 CRORE INCOME FROM THE SALE OF ITS INTERNAT AND MOBILE RIGHTS FOR TESTS,ODI AND T20 IT IS TO HOST FOR NEXT THREE MONTHS THE BOARD TODAY SET RS THREE CRORE AS REAERVE PRICE FOR MOBILE AND INTERNAT RIGHTS FOR EVERY TEST,ODI T20 INTERNATIONAL THAT IT WILL ORGANIZE BETWEEN OCTOBER 20111 TOMARCH 2014 THE DECISION WAS TAKAEN AFTER A MEETING OF BCCIs MARKETING COMITTEE AT THE CRICKET CENTRE HERE TO FINALISE THE TENDERING PROCESS FOR THESE RIGHTS FOR THE BOARDs ITERNATIONAL AND DOMESTIC SERIES/ TOURNAMENT. THE RESERVE FOR PRICE RIGHTS IS AT 3 CRORE PER MATCH(TEST/ODI/T20INTERNATIONAL) BCCI PRESIDENT AND SECRETARY-ELECT NSRINIWASANSAID IN RELEASE.THE BCCI IS SCHEDULED TO HOST 17 TEST, 29 ODI AND TWO T20 INTERNATIONAL DURIND THE PERIOD FOR WHICH THE RIGHTS WOULD BE GIVEN.AT THE BASE PRICE OF RS 3 CRORE PER MATCH THAT THE BOARD HAS SET FOR THE RIGHTS, IT WORKS OUT TOA HEFTY RS 240 CRORE .THE TEST MATCH INCLUDE ASERIES AGIANST AECH-RIVALs PAKISTAN TOO, TO BE HELD IN MARCH-APRIL NEXT YEAR, AS PER THE INTERNATIONAL CICKET COUNCILs FUTURE TOURs PROGRAME BCCI IS ALSO HOST TO BIG TEAMs AUSTRALIA AND ENDLAND FOR FOUR TEST, SEVEN ODIs AND ONE T20 ITERNATIONAL APIECE BETWEEN OCTOBER THIS YEAR AND OCTOBER,2013 POST BY GANESH
